Nearly 1,700 candidates from 58 countries sat the April 2026 IBCLC examination. We began releasing examination results to candidates in their online credential management account today.
Releasing the examination results is an intensive process; therefore, it will take approximately 72 hours to release all examination results. The examination results must be released in segments. This means you may see your results before or after someone else you know.
(Note that, as previously shared, beginning with this examination administration, scores will be reported using scaled scoring. Please see the Scaled Scoring FAQs for more information.)
While results are being released, applications for recertification/reinstatement by CERPs are temporarily unavailable. The deadline to recertify/reinstate by CERPs is September 30, 2026. We will post when applications are once again available.
During this time, the online Public Registry will also be temporarily unavailable. We anticipate that the Registry will be unavailable until approximately June 26, 2026. IBCLCs can execute the Certification Verification Form or use their existing digital certificate for verification while the online registry is unavailable.
Once all results have been released, we will send an email to candidates with instructions to access their examination results and their score report online. Please know that your official result will be in your online account.
New IBCLCs and recertifying IBCLCs from the April 2026 examination will have options to verify their certification; more information on these options will be shared in your examination results email. That email will also include information about receiving digital certificates. Please visit the IBCLC Commission website for more information on digital certificates.
| Please note: Some parts of the online credential management system must be disabled to release examination results. This will affect all IBCLCs, including those who did not sit the April 2026 IBCLC examination. Applications for recertification by CERPs are temporarily unavailable.
