We are pleased to share an exciting development in the ongoing commitment to advancing global professional practice in lactation consultation. Pursuant to the Translation of the IBCLC Examination into a Language Policy, the IBCLC professional certification examination will be available in Arabic in September 2027. This addition represents a significant milestone in our Vision and Mission. Arabic is spoken by over 350 million worldwide. By introducing this translation, many Arabic-speaking professionals will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in lactation consultation. We look forward to working with our stakeholders to facilitate the implementation and impact of this important initiative.
Candidates who are interested in sitting the IBCLC Examination in Arabic starting in September 2027 should complete the Application of Intent by June 1, 2026.
