As announced in the October 2024 Briefing, IBCLC certificates have been going out incrementally over the last several months. To date, IBCLC Programme staff has issued digital certificates to the following groups:
- IBCLCs who earned or recertified their credential in 2024
- IBCLCs who are due to recertify in 2025 – 2027
Now that these groups are complete, we will begin work on certificates for candidates due to recertify in 2028.
As previously announced, this change is based on your feedback from the 2023 IBLCE customer experience survey, where a significant majority of IBCLCs in all languages indicated that they would like to receive a digital certificate more immediately rather than a paper certificate. We will continue to release IBCLC digital certificates by group.
We will continue to provide updates as they are available.
In addition to receiving your digital certificate, you can:
- Share on social media
- Add your credential to your LinkedIn profile
- Download and print your certificate
- Add your IBCLC badge to your email signature
